The Technology Student Association (TSA) prepares emerging leaders for careers in technology, innovation, design, and engineering. We serve over 250,000 middle and high school students nationwide aspire to be future engineers, scientists and technologists. We foster personal growth, leadership, and opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

The Technology Student Association (TSA) has over 2 million members & alumni and more than 2550 teachers in 2000+ schools across the United States.

The Technology Student Association (TSA), formerly the American Industrial Arts Association (AIASA), is the oldest student membership organization dedicated exclusively to students enrolled in technology and engineering education classes in middle and high schools. Its rich history spans four decades.

Arts & A/V Technology

Prepares students for careers in designing, producing, exhibiting, performing, writing, and publishing multimedia content including visual and performing arts and design, journalism, and entertainment services.

Business, Management & Administration

Prepares students for careers in planning, organizing, directing and evaluating business functions essential to efficient and productive business operations.

Communication

Prepares students for careers in designing, producing, writing, and publishing multimedia content including visual and written journalism, social media, and entertainment services.

Finance

Prepares students for careers in planning, services for financial and investment planning, banking, insurance, and business financial management.

Hospitality & Tourism

Prepares students for careers in the management, marketing and operations of restaurants & other food services, lodging, attractions, recreation events & travel related services.

As a member of the Technology Student Association, I felt more prepared for college and career related opportunities due to the practical experience that I gained from TSA. Since I want to pursue a career in digital media and video, TSA competitions such as On Demand Video and Digital Video Production were ways that I could practice and grow my skills learned in the classroom, and apply them to a competition setting. Even now as a junior in college, I am thankful for the opportunities I had in TSA that helped me get where I am today. I think any student that has an interest in a technology related field should consider joining TSA in order to gain this real world experience.

The Technology Student Association was such a great experience that helped well-round me as an individual. I was able to meet great people from across the nation, serve in leadership roles, and become more confident in my professional soft skills while creating some of my favorite memories from high school. The TSA competitive events put the skills we learn in the classroom into a career focused project with a fun, competitive spin. These events allowed me to develop my public speaking and presentation skills that would be impossible to cultivate inside a traditional classroom. Through participating in these events as a student, and now alumni judge, I've seen that TSA members are some of the most creative and diverse thinkers I know. I am so thankful for TSA because of the network, memories, and friends it gave me and I can't wait to see it impact many more students for years to come.
